Fire Station Welcomes Students Back on First Day of School – Students at Woodlands Elementary and de Zavala Middle School were welcomed back to school by the firefighters at Amarillo’s Fire Station 11. Fire trucks were parked with their lights flashing, and firefighters held posters encouraging people to “slow down” and “have fun”. Students, staff and parents were all excited to see their local heroes cheering them on for the first day of the new school year.
